Key responsibilities:

  • Provide tutoring in qualitative concepts via online platforms like WC Online and Zoom.
  • Correspond professionally with students through email and virtual sessions.
  • Contribute to tutoring program initiatives, including creating resources and participating in team meetings.
  • Commit approximately 10 hours per week to tutoring activities, including evenings and weekends.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS) at Walden University seeks students currently enrolled in a Walden doctoral program for the position of Graduate Assistant – Qualitative Concepts Tutor. The Tutoring program aims to support students with tutoring instruction to help them build the skills they need to succeed in their courses at Walden University. The person in this position will provide instructional support using qualitative research software for students in graduatelevel courses across Walden. This individual will tutor students in topics related to the NVivio software and core methodological elements, such as interviewing, observations, and coding qualitative data. This individual will deliver qualitative concepts tutoring through individual appointments, small group sessions, or etutoring (Q&A feedback via email). The Graduate Assistant – Qualitative Concepts Tutor reports to the Manager of GA Strategy and Support in OASIS. This role is a virtual position requiring 10 hours of work per week.
