Job Description
Associate Manager (SS&C Technologies, Inc.; Windsor, CT): Specific responsibilities include: Managing and overseeing the daily reconciliation process for transactions, collateral balances, and UMR populations for the assigned funds; Managing and overseeing the daily UMR regulatory requirements; Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of UMR trade populations and resolving differences with counterparties; Ensuring prepared daily reconciliations are fully supported with source documentation in a standardized format; Providing insightful commentary for reconciliations differences in the daily reports; Responsible for escalation of breaks and working with senior management and clients on resolution; Working with client traders, counterparties, custodianprime brokers and accountants to settle financial transactions; Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of daily trade confirmation, settlement and customer reporting; Managing and monitoring the timing and quality of deliverable packages to internal stakeholders; Establishing plan for new client setup to ensure appropriate access to supporting documentation; Coordinating with Fund Accounting group to provide information or obtain internal support; Preparing software requirements, coordinating with software developers and ensuring proper development; Training junior and senior associates on how to do their tasks as well as establishing procedures and scenarios for quality control; Setting up, reviewing, and approving CSAs for the assigned funds; Releasing client money transfers to PB, counterparties and investors; and Attending and participating in Collateral Management Steering Committee with senior management as well as participating in Collateral Management working group. Telecommuting permitted. Up to 5% international travel to SS&C offices for training and projects.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field plus 2 years of experience in a middlebackoffice operations role.
Must have: 2 years of experience with various products including equities, fixed income, repos, futures, FX, Mortgages, and options, private equity, collateralmargin processing (including margin rules and regs). 2 years of experience with MiddleBack office covering trade settlements, fail control, reconciliation of trade discrepancies, and client servicing. 2 years of experience working in a client service environment. Solid MS Excel knowledge and financial products knowledge. Proven selfstarter with solid analytical skills and problemsolving abilities. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience with coding languages such as Python or VBA.
