Software Engineer (JavaKotlinSpring BootMicroservicesAWS) Santander Auto Software

Who are we?

Santander Auto Software is a greenfield programme, where we are building a brandnew, state of the art software platform and product suite for the auto finance industry, that will be rolled out in 13 countries across Europe and the UK.

The business is 100% tech focused, remote first, and comprised of skilled crossborder software builders, and with a leadership team with accomplished backgrounds from major global tech tech players.

You will be partners with, not providers to, colleagues in product and the business. There will be no order takers and no order givers. Together with your partners in product and business, you will share equally in decisions about features, dates, and priority. More importantly, you will share equally in the results produced by the software you partnered to build and evolve. That’s a lot of responsibility, but we know that’s the new role of technology in every part of our lives and as software builders we’re excited to coown the results, not just the effort.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for skilled back end focused software engineers with experience working with Java and Spring Boot, Kubernetes and AWS, who have experience working in a software on demand production environment. You will build Cloudnative, AWSbased, greenfield software and will have time and support to invent solutions to a wide variety of user, business, and technical challenges. We have no cutandpaste roles and neither will your software be of the cutandpaste (or integrate and configure) variety. We operate a build it and own it culture, and so you will have a DevOps and individual contributor mindset.

Key technical experience:

Software development in Java (Spring Boot) design, build, and deploy.
Production deployment experience working with AWS.
Experience with automated build and test systems for CICD (using Docker, Jenkins, etc)
Experienced in true Agile and its engineering practices with a true DevOps mindset.
