We are looking for a professional and ambitious Risk Specialist to join our Risk Engineering team. The successful candidate will be adept at conducting risk assessments of risks to identify hazardsexposures and sharing this expertise with their underwriting partners. How you will create impact:
  • Conduct risk evaluation services through site surveys andor file reviews to identify and evaluate loss exposure, hazards and controls for risks
  • Provide consultative risk improvement services to brokers and underwriters
  • Identify training needs and assist with the creation of training materials to meet those needs
  • Provide project and development support for risk engineering services value added proposition
  • Ensure assignment are completed in a costeffective, timely and productive manner in accordance with specified service standards
  • Recognizing market opportunities for both current and new products or services; effectively targeting and building external relationships and business opportunities focused on expanding market penetration; expanding awareness of the productservice line and the organization’s value proposition

        • To join our team:
          • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Applied Science or a relate field or equivalent experience.
          • Knowledge of NFPA standards and relevant fire and building codes is required.
          • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in loss controlrisk engineering , with a focus on P&C risk (manufacturing and product liability exposures)
          • Previous equipment breakdown experience would be considered an asset
          • In progress or completion of insurancerelated loss prevention courses (Fire protection, building construction, sprinkler design and protection, security alarms, industrial processes, product and premises liability, life safety and fleet safety)
          • CIP andor CRM designation is an asset.
            • What you need to know:
                      • Detail oriented work that requires a high degree of mental concentration for extended periods of time.
                      • You will provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required.
                      • You are required to have a valid driver’s license.
                      • Role requires lifting, physical exertion at a moderate level.
                      • You will travel occasionally.
