About the Role:

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing leads the development and implementation of procurement & strategic sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve annual targets on company spend in direct and indirect expenses. Manages strategic vendor partnerships along with developing a company wide contracting process and portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement function focused on helping Cityblock achieve its financial and strategic goals

  • Determine local & national strategy for supplier management in line with business and customer needs, in collaboration with Cityblock senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Make sound data driven decisions regarding supplier performance, contractual obligations, and longterm partnerships

  • Partner with key functional areas (e.g., corporate finance, legalcontracts, accounts payable and human resources) to plan, manage, report and drive efficiencies and alignment related to all aspect’s contract delivery metrics. This includes ongoing management of contract demand across new and renewals as well as forecasting and longrange planning in concert with the overarching business strategy

  • Partner with the Legal team to develop Master SupplyService Agreements (MSA), Letters of Intent (LOI), Statements of Work (SOW), etc. Assist in the identification of potential suppliers and developcodevelop request for proposal (RFP) packages. Engage with respondents throughout RFP process to ensure clear understanding of requirements and development of highquality proposals

  • Navigate challenging supplier performance issues as needed via direct businesstobusiness discussions, and via contractuallegal escalation pathways as needed

  • Oversight of supply chain risk and business continuity plans, with ability to identify and lead significant economic business development.

  • Develop and own initiatives and projects towards financial and supply performance targets in terms of value, reliability, compliance, and complexity reduction (cost reductionsavoidance, supplierportfolio rationalization, reliability, compliance and sustainability)

  • Proactively look for ways to mitigate our risk profile via contract negotiations, close monitoring of supplier performance, and supporting performance improvement initiatives

  • Develop a procurement strategy that incorporates our organizational values and establish a supplier diversity strategy that ensures we are balancing dollar spend in an equitable and community conscious way

  • Routinely scout opportunities; stay on top of the evolving supplier landscape across multiple categories; develop and maintain uptodate supplier databases that are reviewready at any given time

  • Balances the interest of multiple internal and external stakeholders while effectively leading change in business strategy and processes

  • Engage with accounts payable to identify systems and processes that allow for efficient and effective execution of the end to end procure to pay process

    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree

      • 5+ years of corporate experience in strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and bulk purchasing, ideally in a healthcare andor tech environment

      • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and proven vendor contract negotiation skills

      • Experience managing and optimizing procurement software

The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:

          $100,000 $140,000 annually
