Job Description

Our client is Europes leading consumer electronics retailer, driving innovation and digital transformation in the industry, well known for its strong customer focus approach. Our ambition is to expand our expertise in developing cutting edge AI and Generative AI powered software solutions, an area with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Tailor clientfocused solutions: You will participate in Discovery Sessions and Collaboration Proposals, ensuring that every engagement is strategically aligned with the clients objectives
• Master cuttingedge technologies: Leverage your expertise in Java, Spring AI, and Microservices to develop and maintain scalable, highperformance applications, ensuring you stay at the forefront of innovation in the retail industry
• Technical leadership: Take ownership of project kickoffs, while also defining tailored Generative AIdriven solutions
• Deliver highquality code: Defining both architecture and quality standards that ensure scalable and impactful solutions
• Advance technical expertise: Expand your skills while developing cutting edge Generative AI powered software solutions
• Agile team collaboration: As a key player in this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients to understand their business needs, while also assembling and mentoring teams

• Qualifications

  Must have:

  • 7+ years of experience with Java
  • Good knowledge of Java, Java ecosystem frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, associated patterns (e.g. SOLID principles, Design Patterns), API driven development
  • At least 1 year of handson experience with Generative AIbased solutions and services, primarily covering Google (Vertex AI, Gemini) and OpenAI offerings (OpenAI API, Function Calling), along with expertise in RAGbased solutions, vector databases, and embeddings
  • Proven experience in Cloud development, especially with Google Cloud Platform
  • Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge and understanding of multiagent architectural projects and Generative AIfavored development frameworks such as Java or Python
  • Previous experience with sales activities such as RFP’s, technical proposal creation and presentation, and discovery sessions

  • Nice to have:

    • Experience with CICD and deployment platforms (Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift)
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python
    • Knowledge of nonrelational databases (MongoDB)
