Job description

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a seasoned Architect to define and lead the architectural strategy across multiple software systems supporting a highperformance sports betting platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to align crossfunctional teams with scalable, maintainable, and modern architectural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, lead, and continuously evolve the overarching architectural vision for the client’s sports betting platform.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to convert business requirements into robust technical designs.
  • Govern architectural decisions across teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and strategic goals.
  • Advocate for and implement DomainDriven Design (DDD) to accurately model business domains and establish welldefined bounded contexts.
  • Design and implement EventDriven Architectures (EDA) that support asynchronous communication, scalability, and loosely coupled systems.
  • Ensure key nonfunctional requirements (e.g., performance, security, reliability) are embedded early in the architectural process.
  • Actively support solution delivery, working alongside developers through design, implementation, testing, and deployment stages.
  • Lead architectural and technical reviews to guarantee alignment with industry best practices and internal standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the client’s technology ecosystem.
  • Promote DevOps culture, including CICD, test automation, and observability in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coach engineers and architects to elevate technical capability and architectural maturity across the teams.
    • Skills & Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
      • 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with at least 3 years in a lead or principal architect role.
      • Proven experience in building sports betting platforms or other highvolume, realtime transactional systems.
      • Deep knowledge of DomainDriven Design (DDD), including aggregate modeling, bounded contexts, and strategic design.
      • Strong handson expertise with EventDriven Architecture, including event brokers like Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, etc.
      • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver distributed, microservicesbased systems.
      • Proficiency with cloudnative architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
      • Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, infrastructureascode, and CICD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
      • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
      • Fluency in multiple backend and web technologies such as .NET, Java, C#, JavaScriptTypeScript.
      • Strong experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases and modern data architectures.
      • Expertise in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
      • Familiarity with architectural modeling tools and frameworks (e.g., UML, C4 Model, ArchiMate).
      • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
      • Strong documentation habits with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
      • Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers and architects effectively.
