Description

We are seeking a driven and resultsoriented Venue Sales Manager to join our growing Venues team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business for an assigned venue with the opportunity to crosssell the other two venue locations, closing venue bookings, managing all event details and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry partners. The Venue Sales Manager will play a key role in increasing venue bookings, driving revenue, meeting budget goals, and ensuring exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and sell three distinct venue spaces for social, corporate, and nonprofit events; Each Venue Sales Manager will be assigned a primary venue, but will sell all three venues depending on client’s wants and needs.
  • Respond to inquiries for designated primary venue as well as assigned leads from lead rotation, conduct site tours, and create customized proposals tailored to client needs
  • Close venue bookings through timely followups, contract preparation and negotiation, and proactive sales tactics
  • Create personalized proposals based on clients’ needs; create contracts, purchase orders & vendor invoices in a timely fashion; create & distribute floor plans with venue manager for clients and internal team’s review
  • Track and manage client communications, proposals, and followup through Caterease
  • Interdepartmental communication to the Operations, Management & Culinary teams for specific events through a detailed Banquet Event Order; must communicate effectively on any popups and lastminute event updates
  • Attend all booked events to greet the client and ensure the event details are executed accordingly until the food is presented; introduction made to the venue manager and event captain to meet the client to run the event until close
  • Ensure the billing procedures are followed, and the event is closed out properly in Caterease
  • Keep events organized and updated in BEO software and email communications internally and externally to clients
  • Coordinate décor needs, linen orders, specialty items with operations team internally and upsell options to clients; Ensure
  • Represents venues at trade shows, networking events, and industry activations
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoff to venue operations staff
  • Provide input for social media and digital marketing efforts to promote venue sales
  • Performs other related duties as needed
    • Qualifications

      Qualifications

      • 3+ years of experience in venue sales, catering sales, and event sales within the hospitality industry
      • Strong sales acumen and client relationship management skills
      • Ability to create compelling proposals and negotiate contracts confidently
      • Familiarity with CRM platforms and BEOevent management software (Caterease, AllSeatedPrismm)
      • Excellent communication, organization, and problemsolving skills
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience preferred
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as events dictate
        • Compensation & Benefits

          • Base Salary: $52,000 to 55,000 annually
          • Commission: On completed events, to include: venue rentals, food & beverage, event rentals, labor, attendants, and production; Additional Commission Potential paid quarterly based on Venues Team meeting goals for all three venues
