Position Summary: Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Privacy Analyst II to support the organizations privacy compliance and data protection initiatives. This individual will be responsible for investigating privacyrelated incidents, supporting regulatory and internal audits, and ensuring that HIPAA obligations are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner. The role requires strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills and a thorough understanding of healthcare privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve member privacy complaints and incident tickets, including root cause analysis and mitigation.
Review, document, and classify lowseverity breach reports, ensuring appropriate followup.
Support fulfillment of HIPAArelated requests such as access to records, amendments, and restrictions.
Maintain detailed documentation of privacy investigations and outcomes.
Track and manage privacy obligations and timelines to ensure compliance.
Assist in internal and external audit preparation and response.
Collaborate with business units and IT teams to advise on privacy best practices.
Contribute to training, awareness, and continuous improvement of the privacy program.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in privacy operations, HIPAA compliance, or healthcare regulatory affairs
Indepth knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and practical application
Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret privacy regulations
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case management tools
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Legal Studies, Compliance, or related field
Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPPUS), or equivalent certification nice to have
