Description

GXM is seeking a part-time, highly experienced and exceptionally well-connected Senior Naval Engagement lead to join our team. This individual will support strategic growth efforts focused on U.S. Navy accounts. This role will focus on leveraging deep relationships within the Navy’s senior leadership to significantly enhance our BD efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of Navy mission areas, operations, acquisition environments, strategic priorities and technical services, looking to apply their skills in a flexible, part-time capacity (approximately 20–25 hours/week). 


The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within Navy program offices, experience supporting capture efforts, and a technical understanding of IT services and modernization initiatives. You will work closely with GXM leadership, technical teams, and partners to shape and pursue relevant business opportunities aligned with our strategic vision.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Established relationships within Navy/DoD agencies or with teaming partners 
  • 5+ years experience in business development, capture, or technical solutioning for Navy or DoD clients 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Navy acquisition organizations, priorities, and program offices 
  • Proven ability to achieve capture goals 
  • Strong understanding of current government contracting environment and the ability to identify and pursue viable business opportunities 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Familiarity with technology service areas such as cloud, data analytics, cybersecurity, and Agile development 
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Active security clearance 
  • Located in the DC Metro area or near a major Navy installation (e.g., Norfolk, San Diego, Pax River) 
  • Demonstrated track record of significant experience within the Navy, preferably at senior leadership levels  
  • Experience with Navy-specific proposal processes (e.g., Seaport NxG, PEO C4I, NAVWAR) 
  • Technical background or experience supporting technical teams in BD or capture
