POSITION SUMMARY

Brownstein Group is seeking an experienced insight and strategy professional to work across new and established client business and to help drive agency growth. We’re looking for a someone with a proven track record of uncovering fresh human insight to anchor emotionally-compelling briefs – briefs that excite our creative teams and inspire work that you can’t ignore. Experience working on integrated campaigns that include TV & digital video is a must. Integrated experience across some combination of digital and social, CRM, loyalty programs and shopper marketing would be a definite plus.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver and leader who helps frame new opportunities to drive big outcomes. They’ll bring a perspective on brands and consumers. commanding authority and respect based on the experience and collaborative spirit they bring to the table.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategy development on several key agency accounts, partnering closely with our creative and account leads to steward these brands to success
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor—both internally and externally--on all things brand and communications
  • Guide informed decision-making through primary and secondary research, social listening, primary observation and competitive analysis
  • Serve as the “living brief” within the agency team, with a sharp understanding of consumer audiences and the role our clients’ brands play in their lives
  • Provide thought leadership on our clients’ businesses, categories and consumer targets and apply best practices to elevate the standards against which we measure success
  • Bring firepower to our new business development via compelling pitch strategies, emotionally-based storytelling and presentations
  • Be proactive about identifying growth opportunities for clients and the agency overall
  • Maintain the agency’s core values and professional standards, bringing a positive contribution to our agency’s culture

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-15 years of experience in advertising, marketing insight and/or brand strategy
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, media and digital marketing ecosystems and knowledge of the tools and platforms needed to navigate them
  • In-depth understanding of how to develop and apply primary research such as consumer insight surveys and creative concept testing
  • Proficiency in delineating facts from observations and insights to help teams apply truths to imagine what could be
  • Skill in setting goals and executing measurement plans to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and brand health
  • Ability to help scope, shape, resource, and price projects profitably
  • Collaborative workstyle, with a willingness to move seamlessly between leading the conversation and rolling up your sleeves to work alongside agency team members
  • Strong writing skills and detail orientation
