Job description

We’re defining what it means to build and deliver the most extraordinary sports and entertainment experiences. Our global team is trailblazing new markets, developing cutting-edge products, and shaping the future of responsible gaming.

Here, “impossible” isn’t part of our vocabulary. You’ll face some of the toughest but most rewarding challenges of your career. They’re worth it. Channeling your inner grit will accelerate your growth, help us win as a team, and create unforgettable moments for our customers.

The Crown Is Yours

Our Global Compliance & Risk team is looking for a detail-driven Licensing Specialist to help power our licensing and registration efforts across new and existing markets. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with our corporate licensing team to prepare, submit, and maintain entity applications across DraftKings collection of products, including Daily Fantasy Sports, Sportsbook, iGaming and more. You'll also act as a critical liaison between internal stakeholders—like Legal, Finance, Product, and People—and external partners including outside counsel and gaming regulators. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative team that plays a key role in keeping DraftKings compliant, competitive, and ready for what's next.

What you’ll do as a Licensing Specialist
  • Prepare, review, and submit corporate license applications, renewals, and amendments for entity-level filings.

  • Manage and optimize licensing software tools to track application status, automate workflows, and ensure documentation is up to date.

  • Responsible for serving as a single point of contact for state, federal, and tribal regulators on licensing matters; respond to inquiries and requests for information.

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Government Affairs teams to understand the implications of regulatory changes and legislative efforts on corporate licensing.

  • Maintain organized records of processes, procedures, correspondence, and official regulatory communications by documenting and monitoring project progress to ensure initiatives stay on track.

  • Provide guidance on operational license requirements and jurisdiction-specific obligations as markets evolve or expand.

What you’ll bring
  • At least 3 years of experience in administration, compliance, risk management, human resources, legal, or gaming.

  • Paralegal experience, which helps you navigate regulatory language and documentation with confidence.

  • A proven ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional projects independently while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • The ability to interpret new laws, rules, and regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable steps.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe, AI tools, and license tracking platforms.
