Role Summary

The Area Asset Protection Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading asset protection initiatives across a designated group of stores. This role ensures the safety and security of company assets, employees, and customers by implementing and enforcing loss prevention strategies, policies, and procedures. The manager collaborates closely with store leadership to identify risks, investigate incidents, and develop effective solutions to reduce shrink and enhance operational compliance.

Role Description

  • Lead and support asset protection efforts across assigned stores to minimize theft, fraud, and operational losses.
  • Partner with store management teams to ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential security vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and other suspicious activities; coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
  • Analyze exception and incident reports to identify trends and develop proactive strategies.
  • Train and mentor store asset protection staff on security best practices and corporate standards.
    Serve as a resource for store teams on asset protection policies, emergency response, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor and manage operational risk through consistent communication and collaboration across stores.
  • Prepare and present reports on asset protection activities, investigations, and outcomes to senior management.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in asset protection or loss prevention, preferably in a multi-store or retail environment.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly to assigned store locations.
  • Familiarity with physical security technology and safety protocols is a plus.
