Why this role is awesome:
As Senior Quality Engineer, Fleet Operations, youll play a handson and highimpact role ensuring the safety, reliability, and quality of Vay’s cuttingedge fleet of remotely operated vehicles and remote driving stations in Las Vegas. This isn’t a behindthescenes quality role, you’ll be on the frontline solving complex, crossfunctional issues and directly influencing how our technology performs in the real world. You’ll be empowered to own quality outcomes endtoend, bridging the gap between operations and engineering, and playing a key part in scaling a firstofitskind commercial remote driving service.
What youll be driving: -
Fleet Readiness: Own the vehicle and station release process, ensuring each asset meets rigorous quality and safety standards after maintenance or bringup.

Root Cause Investigations: Lead detailed investigations into crossfunctional hardwaresoftware issues with onsite operations and global engineering teams.

Corrective Action Implementation: Develop, test, and institutionalize robust corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate recurring issues.

Process Ownership: Establish and continuously improve quality control checkpoints (QCPs), vehicle release workflows, and technician procedures.

Documentation: Create work instructions, troubleshooting guides, service bulletins, and quality alerts to support field operations.

Fleet Reliability Metrics: Monitor and act on quality KPIs (e.g., issue recurrence, First Time Yield, vehicle downtime) to drive datainformed improvements.

CrossTeam Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, procurement, and integration teams to improve product quality, serviceability, and overall fleet performance.

Lessons Learned Integration: Ensure field findings are formally captured and fed back into product design, service practices, and technician training.
