About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Full Stack AWS Developer, Business Applications, to join our growing team at Samsara. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable applications and infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will design and implement AIMLpowered solutions embedded in sales tools to support and optimize sales workflows. You will work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your AWS expertise to contribute to a platform that impacts critical global industries.

• In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available applications and services on AWS.
  • Utilize a wide range of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECSEKS, and more.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Integrate AIMLpowered solutions in sales tools to support and optimize sales workflows, such as CRM integration, lead scoring, chatbots, recommendation engines, and forecasting models.
  • Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and other web services.
  • Support the integration of first and thirdparty data sources into cloud pipelines for analytics and insights (ETLELT pipelines).
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of AWS environments and applications by implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand requirements and deliver highquality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and nonproduction AWS environments.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest AWS services and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and best practices.

  • Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years of software development experience, or a Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on cloud technologies.
    • At least 2 years of fullstack software development experience.
    • Strong understanding of core AWS services and their application in building scalable and resilient systems.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or React.
    • Experience working in AgileScrum environments, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes.
    • Excellent problemsolving and debugging skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    • An ideal candidate also has:

      • AWS Certified Developer – Associate or higher certification.
      • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration services like Amazon ECS or EKS.
      • Experience building and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
      • Experience with database design and management on AWS (RDS, DynamoDB).
      • Experience in integrating multiple applications using middleware tools such as Zapier, Workato tools etc
      • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
      • Experience with agile development methodologies.
      • Experience working with largescale, distributed systems.

      • Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonusvariable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

        We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive abovemarket equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market.

        The range of annual base salary for fulltime employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, jobrelated knowledge, skills, and experience.

        $85,085—$114,400 USD
