Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with a specialized focus on cloud, data integration and federation for Department of Defense (DoD) applications. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding and handson experience with the system engineering process, coupled with expertise in architecting cloud systems that seamlessly integrate data from edge devices, orchestrate data flows, and federate information to users across multiple global sites.

Key Responsibilites:

• Develop comprehensive designs and architectures for an enterprise cloud system that integrates edge devices, orchestrates data flows, and federates information while adhering to engineering standards.
• Engage with project stakeholders to understand requirements, present implementation and delivery plans, and gather feedback.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in customer interactions related to both data architecture and system engineering.
• Architect solutions that facilitate efficient data access for users at different sites worldwide and create implementation roadmaps for these solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to integrate capabilities into the overall system architecture, considering both technical and operational aspects, and align delivery plans with overall project timelines and milestones.

• Strong candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Architect or similar role with a focus on Kubernetes, cloud, and crossplatform solutions.
  • Strong understanding and handson experience with the system engineering process.
  • Expertise in creating detailed plans for functionality implementation and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong understanding of DoD standards and compliance requirements.
  • Must have a U.S. Security Clearance (required).

  • Highly Desired:

    • Master’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Experience with Kubernetes and container architectures.
    • Previous experience in a customerfacing or consulting role.
    • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
