Job description

Job Overview:

As a Psychometric Support/Research Assistant at Cambium Assessment, you will provide support and assistance to Assessment division Psychometricians and Statisticians that deliver secure, reliable, and scalable assessment solutions. You will assist these Psychometricians and Statisticians in generating and producing materials for item review, running data analysis programs and performing quality assurance checks on analysis outputs. In addition, you will be assist in the preparation of technical reports and development assist with validity studies and review of all field test and operational test forms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide general psychometric support for the entire psychometric team.
  • Will work on routine assignments autonomously and receive guidance and supervision on more complex tasks.
  • Takes the initiative to acquire, increase, and keep current on CAI systems, procedures, and teams.
  • Manages updates of annual technical documentation, such as scoring and analysis specifications.
  • Produces Standard Setting configuration files, along with any other related Standard Setting materials.
  • Communicates effectively with other CAI teams.
  • Produces work with minimal errors in a timely fashion.
  • Displays advanced ability with Microsoft tools, particularly with Excel and Word.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a field related to behavioral and social sciences, including psychology, economics and sociology.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Conscientious, high attention to detail and able to take responsibility for ensuring the successful completion of assigned tasks.
  • Interest in education.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
