The estimated base salary range for this role is “$140,000 to $170,000” per year.

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer with the Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, PA and manufacturing locations throughout the US. The Sr Principal Engineer will be expected to lead and manage crossfunctional project teams (both internal and external) on significant capital investments to meet safety, cost, quality, and schedule commitments while demonstrating a high degree of project management rigor. Projects will typically range in scope from $5 to $10 million and may require managing external engineering resources. Project scopes include installing new manufacturing lines, upgrading major assets, automation projects, and plant expansions or new builds.

In this highly visible position, the Sr Principal Engineer will report to the Director of Capital and interact with senior leadership to obtain project approvals and provide updates on deliverables.

      • Business Case Development support developing business cases
          • Project Definition partner with business leaders to develop project charter and deliverables

                                                                        • Required Qualifications

                                                                          • Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
                                                                              • Minimum 10 years of combined engineering, operations, andor project management experience
                                                                                  • Direct experience in large scale manufacturing capital projects
                                                                                      • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment

                                                                                                  • Successful execution of projects greater than $10M in capital

                                                                                                                      • Precision and Preventative maintenance, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT’s) experience strongly desired
