Job Description

The NGS Market Development Manager will play a key role in accelerating the growth and adoption of LGC’s AmpSeq™ Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions across EMEA. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in NGS and a commercially driven mindset. The role involves working closely with key accounts to transition pilot projects into full commercial commitments, while also identifying new opportunities in the agricultural genomics space. This is a highly collaborative role that bridges commercial, technical, and operational teams. The ability to travel and engage with customers across the region is essential. This is a highimpact role with visibility across the organization and the opportunity to shape LGC’s NGS market presence.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Drive the conversion of pilot projects into commercial agreements through strategic support and valuebased communication
  • Expand AmpSeq adoption within LGC’s existing PCR genotyping customer base
  • Identify and engage new target accounts across the Americas with unmet needs in targeted genotyping by sequencing (tGBS)
  • Monitor market trends and competitive offerings to refine messaging and targeting strategies
  • Support technical discussions, onboarding, and earlyphase project scoping between commercial, R&D, and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities using CRM tools like Salesforce.com
  • Provide timely sales and pipeline updates to support forecasting and reporting
  • Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaigns, social selling, and event participation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 quality management system requirements
    • Qualifications
      • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; Ph.D. strongly preferred
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and major account management
      • At least 3 years of experience in the life sciences industry, ideally with global account exposure
      • Familiarity with sequencing or targeted NGS technologies is a strong plus
      • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
      • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
      • Ability to work independently and travel up to 50%
      • Additional language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, or French) are a plus
