Job Title: Operational Technology (OT) Asset Visibility and Security Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S. based)

Clearance: Must be eligible to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident)

About the Role

Dragonfli Group is seeking a highly skilled Operational Technology (OT) Asset Visibility and Security Engineer to support our client in protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of its critical Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. This role is a key technical contributor within a broader cybersecurity strategy aimed at securing client's mail and package processing technologies, connected assets, hosted platforms, and operational data.

You will work within a highly collaborative team to implement and enhance OT asset visibility capabilities, apply security controls, and integrate data from various enterprise cybersecurity tools to support a comprehensive security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain OT asset visibility solutions across USPS mail and package handling systems.
  • Support OT hardware and software asset management by integrating tools and workflows for security and operations.
  • Apply technical controls in areas such as:
  • Network Access Control (NAC)
  • USB device control
  • File integrity monitoring (FIM)
  • Vulnerability management
  • Security event correlation and investigation
  • Engineer and optimize integrations with platforms like Forescout, Armis Centrix, and Splunk for OT security use cases.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, knowledge objects, and analytics queries in Splunk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and security operations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives and USPS internal policies.
  • Contribute to threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation within OT environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of direct experience in OT cybersecurity within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong background in asset visibility, OT system management, and security architecture.
  • Experience in administering and securing both Windows and Linux systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise with tools such as:
  • Forescout and/or Armis Centrix
  • Splunk (knowledge object creation and custom dashboards)
  • Enterprise vulnerability management platforms
  • Familiarity with database design and implementation principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active or recent technical certifications such as:
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH
  • Proven experience preparing documentation, process flows, and schedules for technical deployment plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive consensus across technical and business teams.

Work Environment

  • This position supports a critical government client mission and may require occasional onsite presence.
  • Candidates must reside and remain within the continental United States during the period of performance.
