Job description

Basic Function
The Director of Product Management will lead a Product Management team to ensure continued development and growth of Lumin Digital’s product line while identifying and bringing to market new products and services. This role includes defining and executing product vision and strategy, managing product development lifecycles, and driving innovation to meet financial and user engagement goals. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product success and alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:
Lead a team of exceptional product managers to design and build industry-leading products and services.
Partner with the Vice President of Product Management to influence product vision and strategy and execute a comprehensive product roadmap.
Maintain high standards in quality, UX design, and data-driven product development.
Ensure that product design aligns with financial objectives and supports ARPU, margin, and cost-containment goals.
Engage directly with customers and internal teams to deeply understand customer needs and user requirements.
Develop and document adherence to the product development lifecycle, deployment processes, and launch readiness activities.
Ensure product delivery timelines are provided accurately and executed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure high-quality product releases and comprehensive testing.
Drive capacity planning and resource allocation for the Product Management team.
Support and manage third-party vendor relationships, including procurement and performance oversight.
Lead continuous improvement efforts for internal deployment processes and cross-functional coordination.
Perform other duties as assigned.

90 Days: Take ownership of the product roadmap and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
1 Year: Lead significant product innovations and expansions, achieving measurable outcomes in growth and engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Alignment with Lumin’s core values: Trust, Respect, and Boldness.
5 to 8 years of experience in Product Management, preferably within Digital Banking or related industries.
2 to 3 years of Product Management leadership.
Extensive knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodologies and product development lifecycles.
Proven ability to commercialize complex products, including managing cross-functional and vendor teams.
Strong data-driven decision-making skills and analytical capabilities.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills, with experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities for developing high-functioning teams.
Deep understanding of digital banking concepts and technical design strategies.
Expertise in financial modeling to support product profitability goals.
Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and partnerships.
Preferred experience building and managing high-performing product teams with responsibility across multiple products and markets.
Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff.

Education: 
Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related fields.
Preferred
Master’s degree or MBA 
Certifications in Agile or product management methodologies.

Travel: 
Less than 25% - Up to 65 work days of travel per year for a full time employee
