Job Description
As a Senior SailPoint IdentityNow API Developer, you will focus on building and extending integrations between SailPoint IdentityNow and other enterprise applications using APIs. You will play a pivotal role in scripting and automating processes, enabling seamless identity lifecycle management, and enhancing service delivery through custom API solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom API-based solutions for SailPoint IdentityNow to integrate with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, directories, and HR systems.
- Leverage IdentityNow REST APIs to extend capabilities and automate identity lifecycle tasks such as provisioning, deprovisioning, and entitlement management.
- Write and maintain API scripts to support advanced workflow customizations and data exchange between IdentityNow and external systems.
- Create and manage connectors to onboard and manage target applications within IdentityNow.
- Monitor and optimize API performance and scalability to ensure efficient identity data processing.
- Implement robust error-handling and logging to troubleshoot API integration issues proactively.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and developers to understand integration requirements and define technical API specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in SailPoint IdentityNow APIs, SDKs, and relevant IAM standards.
- Develop technical documentation and user guides for API integrations and workflows.
- Ensure the alignment of API development with compliance frameworks and security best practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in identity governance, with specialization in SailPoint IdentityNow API development.
- Proven expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs using tools such as Postman
- Proficiency in scripting and coding with languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, access management, and entitlement directory management.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, OpenID, or SAML.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot and debug API-related issues.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- SailPoint IdentityNow certifications such as IdentityNow Implementation Engineer.
- Experience with DevOps tools for task automation, such as CI/CD for API development.
- Experience working with Jira
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for API integrations.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and access control mechanisms.
This is a remote position anywhere in the US but with a strong preference for ET or CT time zones.
