Job Title: Temporary Innovation Practice Lead (Parental Leave Coverage)
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Remote, some travel required
Employment Type: Contract
Work hoursdays: fulltime 37.5hweek, MonFri working hours must include 10 to 3 pm EST when possible
Compensation: $81,000$108,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience. Eligible for benefits after probation period.

About the Role
This role requires a blend of leadership, creativity, and expertise in social innovation practices. It requires deep knowledge and experience in the application of social innovation approaches, theories and concepts including systems thinking, humancentred design, systems mapping, prototyping, facilitation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Program development, design and delivery 80%
Social innovation practice and program design apply knowledge of social innovation approaches to the design of impactful programs, projects and initiatives that address social andor environmental challenges.
Project oversight Lead the Climate & Equity Lab and other initiatives as required; ensure the project activities are aligned with the program goals and objectives
Project delivery responsible for the successful execution of program activities and completion of deliverables ontime and onbudget, with the support of the operations team and project staff.
Governance and partnerships collaborate closely with partners on program implementation; ensure team members, partners, funders, and advisory members are informed and engaged
Relationship and stakeholder management build and maintain trusting relationships with partners and project stakeholders such as community organizations.
Facilitation facilitate workshops and convenings
Knowledge mobilization collaborate with staff andor consultants to create consistent messaging and high quality sharable content for the project and beyond
Evaluation and learning collaborate with partners andor consultants to embed program evaluation strategies in project activities, and distilling and sharing learnings for continuous improvement; engage experts in this space as required
Social Innovation Ecosystem support 10%
Represent the organization in convenings and opportunities for learning along with other social innovation practitioners.
Contribute to the development of the sector by sharing insights, resources, and connections with diverse audiences per the organisation’s content strategy
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in social innovation
Organisational learning and development 10%
Act as subject matter expert and advisor to senior leadership in strategic planning, business development, research, current program or business performance
Participate in team meetings and contribute to organisational learning
Contribute to the development of the operational plan
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in designing and delivering Social Innovation related programming
Advanced knowledge of social innovation approaches, theories and concepts including systems thinking, humancentred design, mapping, prototyping, facilitation, and evaluation
Proven track record in managing and delivering clientfacing programs and projects at a high level
Demonstrated ability to steward strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including government agencies and ministries, community organizations, nonprofits and corporations
Gifted communicator, presenter and writer with the ability to distill complex concepts into plain language for diverse audiences
Ability to travel within Canada
Experience in designing evaluation, monitoring and learning approaches is an asset
Experience in designing and implementing knowledge mobilization strategies and techniques is an asset
Competency in equitable and traumainformed approaches to facilitation and stakeholder engagement is an asset
Advanced degrees or certifications in areas of expertise are an asset
Fluency in French or other languages is an asset
