Principal Java Developer

We are seeking an accomplished and innovative Principal Java Developer to join our expanding team. In this senior leadership role, you will drive the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable enterprise applications using Spring Boot and modern Java technologies. You will also play a critical part in infrastructure setup, Kubernetes (K8s) orchestration, and advanced debugging of distributed systems. 

What you'll do and how'll make your mark:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and functionalities for Spring Boot applications. 

• Architect and oversee infrastructure setup, deployment, and monitoring, including Kubernetes clusters and related DevOps processes. 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Java code following best practices. 

• Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions. 

• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and mentor team members to elevate code quality and maintainability. 

• Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure application stability and reliability. 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical and infrastructure issues across application and deployment environments. 

• Optimize application performance and scalability in cloud-native and containerized environments. 

• Stay current with the latest advancements in Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure technologies. 

Who you are and what you'll need to suceed:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Java developer, with at least 2 years in a principal or lead role. 

• Deep expertise in Spring Boot and its core components. 

• Strong understanding of Java SE 8+ features (lambdas, streams, etc.). 

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting. 

• Proven experience in infrastructure setup, automation, and debugging in cloud or hybrid environments. 

• Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. 

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito). 

• Proficiency with version control systems (Git). 

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus. 

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) is a plus. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in distributed and cloud-native systems. 

• Outstanding communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to work independently and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
