Description

Position Summary:

Ensure efficient inbound logistics operations, including import coordination, inland transportation, cost control, and timely receiving. This role supports the continuous supply of goods through proactive planning, vendor negotiation, and strong coordination with brokers, transportation providers, and warehouse teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from origin to warehouse, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery aligned with demand planning requirements.
  • Manage freight bookings and assignments using ShipperGuide, ensuring optimal carrier selection based on rates, service, and capacity.
  • Schedule and oversee dock appointments via OpenDock, ensuring alignment with warehouse receiving capacity and minimizing congestion.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, 3PLs, and government agencies to ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, and other import regulations, proactively resolving documentation or clearance issues.
  • Track and report inbound KPIs and cost performance metrics, proposing corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and visibility tools for internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, and Warehouse Operations.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with transportation providers and brokers, identifying opportunities for cost savings, SLA improvement, and route optimization.
  • Coordinate outbound transportation activities when required, ensuring timely execution and service alignment with customer or internal project needs.
  • Support service-related projects involving Ethnix Group’s 3PL operations, including client onboarding, operational improvements, and logistics service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Supply & Demand teams to stay ahead of industry trends, potential disruptions, and seasonal shifts that could impact inbound flow.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures for inbound logistics, transportation requisitions, and receiving protocols.
  • Meet regularly with planning and warehouse leaders to provide visibility on receiving and areas of opportunities.
  • Meeting regularly with transportation and logistic vendor leads that will generate increase on revenue or cost reduction to the company.
  • Provide support to sales projects that require logistic services to meet revenue goals of the group.
  • Steel toe or composite closed-toe shoes (protective safety footwear) are required in select business units.
  • Must be able to meet predictable attendance and punctuality expectations and physical demands of the position complying with Ethnix Group’s policies and performance expectations.

Organizational Responsibilities:

Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s).

Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, warehouse, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s).

Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the site's efficiency, profitability, and productivity.

Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, logistics tools, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs and by accessing other sources of information and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.

Work Hours (may vary by state or location):

This position is scheduled for 44 hours in a regular work week. Additional support within non-regular hours may be required and should be discussed with the supervisor. No additional compensation for overtime is offered for this position.

Education/Experience:

  • Experience: Previous job experience in data analysis, supply planner, supply chain, procurement, demand planner,or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in: Data Science, Marketing, Administration, Industrial engineer, or equivalent is required.

Language Ability:

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete documents, and answer questions in English and Spanish. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as needed.

Math Ability:

Demonstrated intermediate/advanced mathematical skills such as, trends, logical operations, deviations, averages, etc.

Reasoning Ability:

Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in office suite including but not limited to word, excel, PowerPoint, access, outlook, teams, etc.

 Advanced spreadsheet management programs to complete required reports and employment documents.

Intermediate level in Power BI and SAP

Proficiency and fluency in using and navigating the internet and websites.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Power BI training or certification
  • TOEFL – English certificate or equivalent

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
