Job description

As an EMEA Regional Compliance Lead at IDEXX, you will play a critical role in embedding the IDEXX Code of Ethics into business practices across the region. You will create value by anticipating risks, proactively partnering with key stakeholders, and delivering practical, innovative solutions. Your expertise in antibribery and corruption, data privacy, and international trade compliance will be essential in integrating compliance frameworks into business operations.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • You will serve as the Compliance Lead for the EMEA region, reporting directly to the Head of Global Regional Compliance.
  • You will partner closely with global compliance and legal colleagues while building strong relationships with business and functional stakeholders.
  • You will act as a strategic business partner, developing a deep understanding of IDEXX’s operations and proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  • You will continuously assess and address compliance vulnerabilities to drive continuous program improvement.
  • You will manage a pipeline of thirdparty due diligence to ensure timely and thorough antibribery and corruption compliance in accordance with IDEXX policies.
  • You will drive data privacy compliance efforts in EMEA, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other privacy regulations.
  • You will support trade compliance controls related to sanctions, antiboycott regulations, and deemed exports within the region.
  • You will support regional compliance audits as needed.
  • You will conduct and assist with internal compliance investigations when required.
  • You will enhance compliance awareness through training and communication initiatives.
  • Some regional and international travel may be required.
    • What You Need To Succeed:

      • Advanced degree in law, finance, or a related field required.
      • Minimum 10 years of experience in a legal andor compliance role with a strong working knowledge of antibribery and corruption, privacy, andor trade compliance.
      • Fluent English required; proficiency in another EMEA language (e.g., French, German, Arabic) is a plus.
      • Selfstarter with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
      • Strong problemsolving skills, sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
      • Detailoriented, able to handle confidential information with discretion, and demonstrate a cando attitude.
      • A strategic thinker who is goal and teamoriented, adept at managing complex compliance issues with professionalism, assertiveness, and proactivity.
      • A practical, businessoriented approach to problemsolving, with the ability to balance legal complexities with business needs.
