Job description

🚀 Help Shape the Future of Digital Healthcare with Data

At Simple Online Healthcare, we’re transforming healthcare to make it faster, safer, and simpler for patients across the UK and beyond. From how we prescribe to how we scale, data is the engine behind everything we do.

We’re now looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineering Manager to take ownership of the analytics platform that underpins the entire business.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with broad influence: you'll set the long-term vision, shape how our data stack operates at scale, and empower teams across the company to make better decisions, faster.

Why This Role is Different

As our first Analytics Engineering Manager, you’ll step into a unique opportunity: full ownership of our analytics platform from day one, along with the trust and autonomy to shape its future.

You’ll be building the platform that powers decision-making across an entire healthcare ecosystem—from clinical operations and product to marketing and executive leadership.

  • Lead and shape: You’ll be the first Analytics Engineering Manager here, with a clear mandate to set the vision and scale the platform from the ground up.
  • Own the roadmap: You’ll have end-to-end ownership of our analytics stack, from dbt and data pipelines to Looker and beyond.
  • Build and mentor: Start with a small team (1–2 Analytics Engineers), with headcount set to grow alongside the business.
  • See your work in action: The insights you enable will directly impact patient care, growth strategy, and international expansion.

We’re scaling fast, and this role is pivotal to ensuring our data platform keeps pace.

If you thrive at the intersection of data, engineering, and business—and want to use your skills to make a real-world difference—this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Platform ownership – Define and execute the analytics platform strategy
  • Team leadership – Manage and grow a team of Analytics Engineers, while staying close to the code yourself.
  • Enable decision-making – Build scalable data models, dashboards, and metrics that empower every part of the business.
  • Drive best practices – Champion reliable data pipelines, testing frameworks, and documentation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Work with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Clinical, and Ops.
  • Tech evolution – Help shape the future of our data architecture to support growth across international markets.

What We’re Looking For

📊 Technical Skills

  • Deep experience with dbt, SQL, and data warehousing
  • Skilled in Looker—from semantic layer design to dashboarding
  • Solid grasp of data governance, GDPR, and privacy best practices

📈 Experience

  • 5+ years in data/analytics roles, ideally in a fast-paced startup or scale-up
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful analytics solutions in complex environments

🧩 Soft Skills

  • You think like an engineer and communicate like a product manager
  • You’re obsessed with clarity, reliability, and scalable solutions
  • You’re curious, collaborative, and thrive in ambiguity
  • You have a growth mindset, team-first attitude, and a love for simplifying the complex.

Salary: ÂŁ50,000 - ÂŁ70,000 DOE
