Job title: Global Quality and Accreditation Artificial Intelligence Technical & Regulatory Reviewer
Location: Netherlands (Homebase)

BSI is looking for a GQA Technical and Regulatory reviewer to be based in the Netherlands. The role is to provide accreditation leadership to the BSI Artificial Intelligence (AI) certification body and notified bodies and quality management teams globally. The role will comprise of supporting the management of the ISO 42001 scheme globally within 17021 and other applicable accreditation requirements, as well as related regulated schemes (e.g., EU AI Act). Also, will provide policy, input and expertise on AI management systems and developing related certification schemes.


Duties include:

  • Manage the AI accredited scheme globally, according to applicable accreditation requirements, as well as related regulated scheme requirements (e.g., UKCACE).
  • Support the roll out of policy decisions and processes for AI Management System (AIMS) audits globally.
  • Support the ISO 42001 certification scheme as well as management system aspects of related schemes such as CEUKCA, by for example, updating procedures, investigating regulatoraccreditor nonconformities and customer appeals and supporting activities during witnessed or office regulatoraccreditor audits.
  • Leading smaller improvement projects and participating in larger projects, ensuring appropriate adherence to procedures and appropriate stakeholder involvement.
  • Provide advice and global support to scheme owners, management system (MS) auditors, technical specialists, scheme managers, sales, marketing and other BSI colleagues on BSI requirements for artificial intelligence.
  • Provide accreditation and general AIMS expertise, leadership and mentoring in areas of competence to personnel in the BSI AI, information security and medical devices streams.
  • Drive the output and quality of AIMS audits globally via training development and delivery and report reviewing.
  • Coordinate and deliver on at least one of Report Reviews, as eligibleCertification decisions as eligible Competence verifier activities to support the qualification process.

    • Outline of ideal candidate

      • Bilingual in English and Dutch preferred
      • At least 4 years of fulltime practical professional experience in the field of information technology or data protection, with at least 2 years related to artificial intelligence applications.
      • Good understanding of statistics, software developing processes and technologies including algorithms, methods, processes and tools that fall under artificial intelligencemachine learning.
      • Previous experience in accredited management system certification (e.g. ISO 27001)
      • Good understanding of Information security Management systems (ISOIEC 27001) or AI Management Systems (ISOIEC 42001)
      • Good understanding of AI legislation
      • Professional education or training at a level comparable to university education such as Data Science, Information Technology, AIML, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Statistics.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication.
      • Strong personal and data presentation skills
      • Good IT skills.
      • Ability to engage and consult stakeholders
