SwingDev is part of a fast-growing insurtech company from Silicon Valley, listed on NYSE – Hippo Insurance. Our technology-first approach is modernizing the otherwise stale home insurance industry, from IOT monitoring devices to our industry-leading software 🚀
Even though we've become a part of something bigger, joining SwingDev you'll feel the startup vibe created by people who simply like each other and have each other's back. We believe the culture of trust and integrity keeps us together, and it led us to where we are today - feeling happy with our work and interacting with people we call friends.
First Connect is a digital marketplace providing independent insurance agents access to top US carriers and the optionality necessary to grow their businesses.
The platform’s standout feature is a robust comparative rater that lets insurance agents input data just once to generate multiple insurance quotes for their clients. FC aims to continually expand its network of insurance providers by integrating more companies via APIs, making it easy to access a wide range of insurance products.
First Connect is an independent startup that recently spun out of Hippo Insurance and is now building its own unique future. At SwingDev—a hippo company, were proud to be their longterm strategic partner. Want to learn more? Let’s discuss it on our first call!
What’s our culture like?
„Were all about people” yes, it may sound a bit cliche. But whether were writing code or just hanging out, we know that people are at the heart of everything we do. We like to have a good time and keep things light, even when were tackling big projects. We could brag about what’s making us special, but we’ve boiled it down to two key ingredients: mature, companionable people who, rather than compete, prefer to inspire and have each other’s backs; a culture of trust, empathy, and positivity that keeps us together, lets us interact as teammates and friends, and truly enjoy the ride.
So if youre a Product Manager looking to shake things up and have a good time while youre at it, you’ve come to the right place. 🚀
About the role:
This role sits at the heart of First Connect’s agent experience. Carrier access is our core value prop – it’s why agents come to us and how they grow their book of business. You’ll lead the vision, execution, and ongoing optimization of how agents qualify for, gain access to, and manage access with 140+ carriers – while meeting complex regulatory requirements and delivering world–class user experience.
This is a foundational product role with high autonomy, broad scope, and direct impact on our agent experience. If you love taking ownership and working in a highgrowth environment, this is the role for you!
What will you do?
Youll improve and expand dynamic carrier workflows used in 140+ endtoend carrier processes.
Youll own the Carrier Store (central marketplace experience where agents discover and request access to carriers) to be more actionable, personalized, and clear.
Youll design agent experiences that clarify what’s needed next and reduce support dependency.
Youll ensure all flows are modular, scalable, and adaptable to carrierspecific requirements.
Youll own product compliance across onboarding, carrier access, and ongoing agent journey.
Youll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, our USbased business team, as well as external partners to translate problemareas and requirements into highquality features and ensure compliance rules are met without creating unnecessary friction.
Youll own the entire discoverytodelivery cycle – spotting user pain points, researching solutions, testing them out, and getting them live.
Youll use data, market trends, and user insights to make smart, informed decisions every day.
We might be a match if you…
