Job description

About the Role:

Core-VA Solutions is hiring a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist with direct, hands-on experience in sourcing, recruiting, and managing end-to-end hiring processes for remote roles.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of sourcing hard-to-find talent, working with fast-paced recruitment pipelines, and independently handling all tasks related to candidate identification, engagement, and evaluation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Candidate Sourcing:
    Has solid experience proactively sourcing remote candidates across various platforms such as LinkedIn, JobStreet, Indeed, Facebook groups, and talent marketplaces.
  • Job Posting and Campaign Management:
    Has previously created compelling job ads and managed multiple live job postings. Knows how to monitor application performance and adjust outreach or ads as needed to improve response rates.
  • Screening and Shortlisting:
    Has directly reviewed hundreds (or thousands) of resumes, performed initial screenings, and assessed candidate fit against client or internal role requirements. Understands how to identify red flags and spot potential even in nontraditional profiles.
  • Initial Interviews:
    Comfortable conducting structured phone or Zoom interviews. Has experience asking competency- and behavior-based questions, documenting answers, and providing summary assessments to hiring teams.
  • Recruitment Coordination:
    Has coordinated between hiring managers and candidates, managed calendars for interviews, and ensured timely follow-ups. Familiar with sending test tasks, managing applicant pipelines, and setting clear expectations with candidates.
  • Candidate Relationship Management:
    Maintains regular communication with active and passive candidates. Can handle rejection conversations professionally and knows how to keep top-tier candidates engaged during long processes.
  • Process Documentation and Tracking:
    Experienced in maintaining applicant trackers, updating dashboards, and organizing recruitment data. Familiar with using tools like Excel Sheets, Trello, or Asana to manage and report progress.

Requirements

Experience

    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a remote or staffing agency environment.
    • Proven success sourcing candidates across platforms like LinkedIn, JobStreet, Indeed, and online communities or talent marketplaces.
    • Demonstrated experience writing and managing job postings, adjusting campaigns based on performance, and tailoring messaging for different role types.
    • Has personally screened a high volume of resumes and conducted detailed candidate assessments with a focus on administrative, support, or virtual assistant roles.
    • Skilled in conducting structured phone or video interviews, including behavioral and situational questions, with clear documentation of results.
    • Experience managing interview scheduling and candidate coordination, including follow-ups, test assignments, and communication pipelines.
    • Strong relationship management skills with a history of keeping candidates engaged, delivering feedback professionally, and building talent pools.
    • Proficient in maintaining recruitment trackers and dashboards using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Trello, or Asana.
    • Exceptionally organized, able to juggle multiple requisitions, and confident working independently in a fully remote setup.
    • Comfortable using recruitment tools and cloud-based systems, including applicant tracking systems (ATS), Google Workspace, and communication platforms.
