  • Monitor and optimize Kafka infrastructure to ensure reliable and scalable data flows.

  • Act as a key resource for Kafka expertise, offering direct guidance and creating materials to help other technologists improve their proficiency with designing and implementing applications using Kafka

  • Collaborate with other members of the Data Warehouse team to understand data inflow needs required to support reporting and analytics

  • Collaborate with members of teams building event-driven applications and the Data Engineering team to ensure that the necessary inputs to data pipelines are being provided in a consumable manner 

  • Support Kafka-related initiatives relating to security, software currency, availability, and data governance

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Kafka infrastructure and data flows to ensure that applications are able to execute against Kafka in a scalable, reliable, and efficient manner
