Job Description

We are looking for a Psychologist (or Provisional Psychologist) to join our multidisciplinary team as a Rehab Consultant (RC).

As an RC within SIS, you will deliver an engaging, educational and empowering workplace rehabilitation service, playing a significant role during all stages of the workplace rehabilitation process by consulting, developing, reviewing and advising on all facets of the injured workers return to work and rehabilitation programs. Liaising with all relevant parties to ensure Injured Worker rebuilds and restores selfconfidence, selfworth and overall wellbeing following an injury.

Your day to day will include:

  • Conduct initial assessments and identify return to work barriers and designimplementmonitor programs that assist injured worker to return to work.
  • Identify and design suitable duties for the worker to assist the employer to meet their obligations in providing suitable employment
  • Maintain appropriate statistical standards as measured by case management system
  • Undertake specific services and assessments such as; worksite, vocational, functional, ergonomic, equipment, home and job analysis as required.
  • Forge the link between the insurer, employer and treatment providers to ensure integration of all injury management activities and a focus on return to work
  • Arrange appropriate retraining and placement in alternative employment when the worker is unable to return to preinjury duties
  • Travel to work sites, appointments or other such areas, as needed
  • Maintain high customer service standards and effective relationships with a range of employers, treatment, care and service providers
