Job description

Job Summary:
As a SQL Analyst at Creative Chaos, you will be responsible for performing thorough EDA using SQL and standard tooling to understand data cardinalities, unearth outliers, identify data quality and completeness issues, and answer questions relating to data.

You’ll work closely with Data Engineers, BI Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure the data is robust, complete, and well-documented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Exploration & Profiling – Conduct extensive exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand raw source data and inform data cleansing, enrichment, and modelling decisions.
  • Cloud Migration – Support the phased migration of legacy CRM data into Azure, partnering with engineers to ensure quality, performance, and continuity.
  • Version Control – Experience using Git for versioning Documentation and Code.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to answer data-related questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • EDA Mindset – Demonstrated ability to explore and understand complex, messy data, identify quality issues, and design practical solutions.
  • Cloud Data Experience – Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Data Lakehouse architecture. Experience with Synapse
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
