What you will do

-Working as part of the Marine design team, based in Manchester UK, on mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.

-Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.

-Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical schematics, P&ID's, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations.

-Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.

-Collaborate with the Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager, offering valuable design and CAD support.

What we look for

Essential

-Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (FireCAD or equivalent).

-Ability to interpret clients' technical specifications.

-Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.

-Full UK Driving License.

-Willingness to obtain SC UK MOD Security clearance.

Preferred

-HNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background).

-Experience in the Marine Industry.

-Previous involvement in MoD contracts.

- Background in the Fire Protection industry. With experience in Sprinkler, Foam, Local Application and Gaseous (Novec, C02, Inergen) fire suppression systems.
