Our client, a leading healthcare consulting firm, is seeking a skilled Medical Writer to join their Scientific Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality content, including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and other project types, while adhering to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to quickly understand and assimilate complex information across unfamiliar therapy areas, developing a variety of materials within strict deadlines and defined project scopes. Strong teamwork and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

What you will do:

  • Research and write scientifically accurate, original content, including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and reports.

  • Adapt writing style to suit different formats, audiences, and client preferences while maintaining clarity and scientific integrity.

  • Ensure quality and compliance by meeting project briefs, editorial standards, timelines, and allocated hours.

  • Review and revise content based on internal or client feedback, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project managers, editors, and designers, to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.

  • Proactively identify support needs (e.g., graphic design, referencing, editorial review) and communicate them to the team.

  • Track progress and flag risks—keep the project team informed of status, potential delays, or challenges that may impact delivery.

  • Engage professionally with clients, authors, and speakers to clarify objectives, gather input, and manage expectations.

  • Comply with internal processes and follow ethical standards in all aspects of content development.

  • Juggle multiple projects efficiently by managing time and priorities in a fastpaced environment.

    • Qualifications
      • Education: BSc or higher in Life Sciences (Master’s or PhD is a plus).

      • Experience: At least 1 year of medical writing experience within a medical communications agency.

      • Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, concise content.

      • Familiarity with referencing tools (e.g., EndNote, Zotero) and MS Office Suite.

      • Strong editing, writing, and proofreading skills.

      • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt writing style for different formats.

      • Experience working with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.

      • Understanding of medical terminology, scientific literature, and clinical trial processes.

      • Awareness of industry guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, ICMJE) is a plus.
