Pricing Analyst

The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a detailoriented and selfmotivated individual to join our team as a Customer Pricing Analyst. In this role, you will serve as a business partner to the Sale Organization to drive pricing strategies that deliver growth, profitability and support our customers needs. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with an equal balance of pricing knowledge, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Process improvement is a big part of our culture and, as such, having transformational project experience would be a plus.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

Analyzes, evaluates, and implements pricing to improve profitability and growth.

Supports implementation and compliance with customer contracts related to pricing.
Provides support and makes recommendations to assigned sales managers and sales representatives in regards to contracts, pricing and reporting.
Performs price analysis to craft and recommend price strategies in RFP Tender opportunities.
Supports the internal and external compliance activities, specifically with monitoring and auditing routine price changes, uniform pricing requirements and other key terms and conditions as required.
Evaluates and implements updates to contracts based on corporate driven changes and initiatives (price change from supplier, fx).

Support process improvement transformation projects as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (EducationTraining, Experience and Certifications)

Bachelor degree preferred
35 years pricing, contracts, finance, or related experience

Prior pricing project transformation experience strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Ability to be a project leaderselfstarter.
Able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Advanced Excel and data manipulation.

Good knowledge of SAP.

Desired knowledge of QlikviewQliksense and PriceFx or similar tools.

Be able to work independently and be a contributing team player
Good interpersonal skills.
Good problem solver.
Strong Math and Analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Strong Organizational & Time Management skills.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Some Travel required.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
