The purpose of the role will be to identify and manage a portfolio of overpayment recoveries, supporting the business to achieve legislative requirements.
 

This will be a full time, permanent position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home once fully trained.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse potential overpayments flagged to the team to confirm that the overpayment has occurred and the amount of the overpayment.
  • Manage a portfolio of overpayment recoveries, assessing financial circumstances, and working with stakeholders to repay debts.
  • Undertake debt recovery actions, including liaison with external legal providers.
  • Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding payments and recoveries.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal clients and management teams to facilitate an effective delivery of decisions made
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to engage in meaningful conversations with stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail to manage competing priorities with accuracy
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities to investigate and inform decisions when challenges arise.
  • Effective negotiation skills to negotiate, influence and build effective relationships to manage expectations and build rapport to achieve positive outcomes
  • Previous debt collection experience is highly desirable, but not essential
