Primary Details

Overseeing and driving the regional portfolio for marine claims (hull & machinery, cargo, FFL). Providing delivery of claims services, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases. Monitoring and maintaining claims team KPIs in the region. Providing technical input and support on complex claims, throughout the region. Having direct reports inwards - people management. Develop the technical expertise of our teams through structured training and development. Ensuring customer satisfaction and equitable solution to claims in accordance with company guidelines. To be accountable for the region's marine claims performance and to report into the Regional Specialty Claims Head, Asia.

The Opportunity
  • Oversee and drive claims performance throughout the region
  • Support the implementation of claims management strategies and objectives for the region / branch
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications
  • Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve Claims systems and procedures
  • Approve claims within appropriate authority levels
The Opportunity
  • Maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general public
  • Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards
  • Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried out
  • Ensure recoverable amounts are assessed and effectively followed up and approving significant claims within written authority levels
  • Ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise and leadership
  • May supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the team
  • Manage and supervise Claims staff
