Job Description

What You Will Do

Burwood is looking for a Technical Architect to help lead client projects in our rapidly growing Application Modernization practice, focused on DevOps and Data Engineering. Working with other team members, you will help us refine our DevOps and Data Modernization offerings and methodologies and lead client efforts to plan and execute Cloudbased application and data solutions. You will develop close relationships with our customers, enabling you to understand their businessoperational needs and technical challenges in order to inform our technical recommendations and drive value from our data architecture, implementation, and operations efforts.

As a Technical Architect, your responsibilities will include:

  • Learn about your clients’ challenges and needs. Develop technical roadmaps and solutions in support of their strategies and goals.
  • Inspire change by communicating recommendations and strategic vision across all levels of your clients’ organizations (from CIO to individual contributor).
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by staying up to date with the latest technologies and architectural frameworks.
  • Design and lead implementation of data platforms (data lakes, realtime analytics, data mesh, and hybridcloud ecosystems) and applications using DevOps best practices.
  • Act as delivery lead on client projects, planning and ensuring the successful technical delivery of the solution.
  • Get handson and code! This role will be responsible for technical delivery as well.
  • Assist presales teams with technical scoping of prospective client engagements.
  • Elevate our team’s capabilities by coaching and mentoring junior teammates.
    • Qualifications

      Who You Are

      • 5+ years in solution architecture or principal engineering roles, ideally within enterprise consulting or largescale digital transformation environments.
      • Proven experience designing and delivering endtoend data pipelines, enterprisegrade applications, and DevOps toolchains.
      • Strong application development background in modern frameworks (Java, Python, etc.)
      • Strong knowledge of modern enterprisegrade DevOps and data architecture design and implementation (e.g., data lake, data warehouse, and data mesh design patterns)
      • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
      • Outstanding problem solver.
      • Good written and verbal communication skills.
        • The Tech Stuff

          • High level of proficiency in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
          • Experience developing CICD pipelines for testing and deployment (Jenkins, Argo, Google Cloud Build, etc.)
          • Professionallevel certification from a major public cloud vendor (Google Cloud Professional, AWS Professional, etc.)
          • Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as code (e.g., HashiCorp Terraform)
          • Experience with Kubernetes (either deployingmanaging clusters or utilizing a public cloudmanaged solution, e.g, Google Kubernetes Engine)
          • Familiarity with cloudnative data ecosystems (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse), stream processing (Kafka, PubSub, etc.), and Lakehouse architectures.

                  The estimated salary range for this role is ($125,00,000$185,000). This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual andor company performance.
