We’re looking for a handson Engineering Manager with fullstack depth to lead a sharp, missiondriven team. You’ll build, mentor, and ship—bringing both deep technical judgment and getitdone energy.

What You’ll Do

You’ll operate as a playercoach: leading a team of strong engineers, while contributing technically across system architecture, crossfunctional collaboration, and productcritical features.

  • Lead a team of backend, frontend, and fullstack engineers

  • Write and review highquality code—primarily in Go, React and TypeScript

  • Own system design and technical decisions that scale across products and teams

  • Drive engineering excellence: strong testing, clean abstractions, fast iteration, tight observability

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and crossfunctional leads to scope and ship wellarchitected solutions

  • Help scale our engineering organization: hiring, coaching, leveling, and inspiring

  • Navigate ambiguity with clarity, and bring momentum to complex or highstakes initiatives

  • Raise the bar—not just for your team, but for Proof as a whole

      • 5+ years of professional software experience, including 2+ years leading engineers

      • Strong backend experience (Go preferred, but not required) and comfort working fullstack

      • Proven record of delivering complex systems endtoend

      • Experience scaling web applications, optimizing performance, and managing technical debt

      • High standards for code quality, testing, and developer experience

      • You care about product outcomes, not just shipping features

      • You lead with context, clarity, and conviction—and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves

          • Familiarity with tools like GraphQL, Playwright, Storybook, CICD pipelines

          • Built and maintained design systems or internal component libraries
