Requirements

Job Description:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new and existing BI reports and dashboards.
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business needs with a focus on usability, performance, and clarity.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from Snowflake and other data sources.
• Connect and integrate Power BI with Snowflake, ensuring data models are efficient, scalable, and secure.
• Conduct validation sessions with users to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and functionality of reports.
• Manage report lifecycles including development, testing, user acceptance, deployment, and support.
• Support and enhance existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and changing business requirements.
• Create and maintain documentation on data models, report specifications, and validation procedures.
• Promote best practices for BI development, including data governance, security, and visualization standards.
• Work with Azure Data Factory to design and manage ETL workflows to support BI reporting needs.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for integrated data and analytics solutions is required.

• Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience building BI reports and dashboards using Power BI and Fabric.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience working with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses).
  • Demonstrated success gathering requirements directly from business users and translating them into BI solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and report optimization best practices.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory for ETL processes.
  • Experience with Boomi is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
