About the Senior Software Backend Engineer role...

In this role you will use your backend development experience to build and enhance our products our projects vary between natively developing in our new cloudbased microservices architecture and others will involve migration.

What youll do...

  • Refine and deliver product requirements with minimum support

  • Work with a crossfunctional distributed team in an agile methodology

  • Participate in release and sprint planning

  • Write clean, wellorganised code, while making appropriate tradeoffs between performance, robustness, extensibility

  • Support production systems on a shared roster basis

  • Work closely with other developers, pairprogramming, reviewing pull requests, and contributing incremental improvements to code and coding practices.

  • Mentor and support junior developers

  • Able to understand and write infrastructure as a code

    • What you have...

      • Experienced in multiple languages such as Node.js (mandatory) & Typescript

      • Understand microservices architectures and RESTful APIs

      • AWS experience across one or more of the following EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda, and S3

          • Competent with database technologies (e.g.RDMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL andor NoSQL like DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB)

              • Understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker and CICD systems

              • Keep up with best practices, latest technologies and programming languagesframeworks as needed

              • Liaise and work with product, and other technology and delivery teams to deliver high quality software solutions
