You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create solution frameworks, and ensure the seamless integration of new and existing technologies. This position offers the flexibility to be based either in our Reston, VA, or Plano, TX office, with opportunities to contribute to innovative projects that impact the housing industry. Your expertise will help enhance our technical infrastructure, optimize data management, and improve service delivery across our platforms.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and related technologies. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Desired qualifications include at least 4 years of experience, proficiency in Java/J2EE frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot, and familiarity with front-end technologies like Angular, TypeScript, or ReactJS. Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, including S3, ECS Fargate, EC2, SQS/SNS, Lambda, and CloudWatch, is highly preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, and be comfortable using APIs, SDKs, and AWS CLI tools. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing automation tools like Selenium, Karate, or Cucumber, and development tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, Git, and JIRA will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document detailed requirements from stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement software applications and services that align with organizational goals and technical standards.
  • Apply process-driven and best practice approaches in solution design, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate and incorporate new technologies and frameworks into existing systems.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software solutions through standard development practices, troubleshooting, and updates.
  • Leverage AWS services and DevOps tools to build, test, deploy, and monitor applications efficiently.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing automation, and continuous integration processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist in documenting technical specifications, user stories, and system architecture diagrams for ongoing support and future enhancements.
