The Opportunity:

Are you a detail-oriented Registered Nurse with a passion for wound care management and a knack for improving documentation practices? We are seeking a Medical Chart Auditor to join our dynamic team! In this role you’ll play an important part in enhancing patient care quality through comprehensive audits and training initiatives for our US-based healthcare client.

This position is remote, so it offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities are:
  • Conduct detailed reviews of wound care documentation, including patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Evaluate compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Collect and analyze data related to wound care outcomes, treatment effectiveness, and patient satisfaction to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Prepare and present audit reports summarizing findings, including areas of non-compliance and actionable recommendations
  • Share audit results with healthcare providers, management, and relevant stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Offer valuable feedback to healthcare providers on documentation practices and wound care management to enhance patient outcomes
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on best practices in wound care and documentation standards
  • Work alongside healthcare teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring effectiveness and recommending further changes as needed.
In succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive experience in wound care management and documentation
  • Strong understanding of clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement processes
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to provide effective feedback and training to healthcare providers to elevate standards of care
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current on wound care guidelines and regulatory changes
  • Exceptional eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of auditing
  • Experience with nursing home EMR systems is a plus (e.g., Point Click Care, Sigma) and knowledge of nursing home insurance or prior authorization processes

Service Fee:

    Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

    Hours:

    US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - 9am to 6pm
