Respiris coaching is ideal for founders, freelancers, consultants, etc. who want to earn supplemental income while making a meaningful impact. It will not replace a full-time W-2 salary, nor is it likely to lead to a full-time role.

As a job search coach in the Respiris marketplace, you’ll have the autonomy to coach our way, while also gaining access to a supportive ecosystem of tools, peers, and opportunities to grow. 

What We’re Building

Respiris exists to ensure no one navigates a job loss alone. Founded in 2024 by Angel Cruzado, a former Head of HR who has both led and lived through layoffs, Respiris built a coaching marketplace, where impacted employees receive structured, empathetic support at scale. 

At the heart of our approach is the Career Prayer™—a reflective framework that guides clients to answer:

“Where have I been? Where am I now? Where do I want to go?”

Through storytelling, structure, and strategy, we help people find clarity and build confidence as they move forward.

Where We Are Now

Respiris currently partners with private companies (mostly VC- and PE-backed). We’re preparing to 10x our footprint and that starts with expanding our coaching marketplace.

This is a flexible, fractional opportunity—ideal for building your coaching practice while staying connected to a values-aligned peer community. In addition to ongoing peer-driven learning opportunities, you can earn referral commissions.

What You'll Do

As a Respiris Job Search Coach, you’ll guide clients through a 90-day, 10-session journey that blends empathy, tools, and action. This includes:

Client Support & Coaching
  • Guide clients through a structured 90-day, 10-session journey via Google Meet
  • Use the Career Prayer™ to foster self-reflection and strategic action
  • Support resume rewrites, LinkedIn updates, and interview preparation
  • Introduce and coach clients on usemotion.ai to manage their job search
  • Communicate and collaborate using tools like Slack, Google Docs, and ChatGPT
Community & Contribution
  • Participate in bi-weekly, 30-minute community learning sessions
  • Explore tools like Gemini, Gamma, Canva, Replit, and Enhancv
  • Refer new clients/companies and earn commission
  • Share feedback and help us improve coaching tools and processes
  • Contribute to our evolving go-to-market, labor, and community strategies

Requirements

You’ve lived through transition: either as an impacted employee, relative of someone impacted by layoff, leading a layoff, or rebuilding after a major personal change (e.g. burnout, divorce, health event, etc.). As a result, you’re ready to help others do the same.

  • Empathy, curiosity, and strong active listening skills
  • Experience with coaching or guiding others through performance, career growth, or transitions
  • Comfort with tech: Google Meet, Slack, Docs, and willingness to explore new tools
  • Availability for bi-weekly capability calls (30 mins)
  • Interest in AI, the future of work, and building people-first transitions
  • A values-aligned mindset—especially around equity, dignity, and inclusion

Benefits

  • Part-Time | Remote | Contractor (1099)
  • $50/hour for client-facing coaching
  • 10% commission on partner referrals: We grow through trusted referrals, and we believe in sharing that value with you. For example, if you introduce a company to Respiris that signs a $15,000 contract, you’ll earn $1,500 after payment clears.
