Role: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Automation Tester)

Location: 100% remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM Countries)

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to uphold quality across our software development lifecycle. As an SDET at the client, you will be instrumental in creating and running tests to ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable HIPAA-compliant software products. You will take charge of the testing frameworks and tools across a variety of areas in the application. This role requires a strong technical background in both manual and automation testing, quick thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HIPAA-compliant QA strategies, test plans, and test cases in a DevOps delivery culture that releases to production daily.
Aid in the development and execution of automated test scripts across different layers of the application (micro frontend, microservice, data layer).
Possess a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and the ability to design and execute thorough manual test cases.
Work closely and collaboratively with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders across multiple Scrum teams to ensure maximum test coverage and alignment with the product.
Champion quality and best practices within the organization, not only looking for bugs but also for what is best for the product.
Be an active agent in the defect tracking process, ensuring timely identification, documentation, communication, and resolution of defects.
Contribute to the planning and execution of performance, load, and reliability testing efforts.
Track key quality metrics, providing regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall product quality to the Developers and other key stakeholders.
Identify and communicate potential quality risks while also helping contribute to mitigation strategies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience (5+ years) in software quality assurance, with a vast amount of experience in both manual and automation testing.
Experience writing and carrying out test plans in test management suites (e.g., Xray, QMetry, TestRail).
Experience creating frameworks and tests with various UI automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium).
Experience with database testing, including unit testing and performance.
API testing experience, both manual and automation.
Deep understanding of different testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
