Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced People & Capability Consultant to join our People Operations team on an initial 8-month contract. This role will play a critical part in creating and operationalising our capability framework to embed it across systems, processes and people practices.

You’ll be working closely with our senior People leaders and partnering with various stakeholders across the business to bring strategy to life through execution. This includes mapping, planning and embedding people frameworks, uplifting management capability, and integrating initiatives into our systems and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Capability Framework & Strategic People Projects

  • Contribute to the design phase of the capability framework, ensuring operational needs are considered early
  • Take the lead on operationalising the framework once developed, embedding it into people processes and platforms such as performance, development, learning and communication
  • Develop tools, templates, wireframes and resources to bring the framework to life for employees and managers
  • Identify how we support people leaders to recognise and develop high performers, and create practical solutions to enable this
  • Translate strategy into project plans and clear actions, tracking progress and delivering outcomes
  • Support change adoption, including preparing communications, guiding stakeholders and embedding initiatives into day-to-day operations
  • Participate in team planning and share updates to help drive collaborative delivery and continuous improvement

People Partnering BAU Support

  • Shadow and support an existing People Partner portfolio, providing generalist support to assigned business units
  • Respond to day-to-day people queries, escalating or resolving in partnership with the broader People team
  • Support the delivery of cyclical people processes, including performance reviews, engagement activities, and development planning where needed
  • Draft and update documentation, communications and resources as needed
  • Step into additional partnering tasks during periods of leave or higher demand, helping ensure continuity

Qualifications
  • 7–10 years’ experience in People & Culture roles, ideally with a mix of business partnering and organisational development or capability design
  • Experience working in white-collar, professional services or B2C environments
  • Exposure to mature people frameworks and systems, either having worked within or helped build them
  • Able to balance big-picture frameworks with pragmatic delivery, and confident navigating both standalone teams and jack-of-all-trades settings
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguity
  • Technically literate - understands API vs SFTP conceptually, knows how systems integrate, and has a mindset that defaults to system-led rather than manual approaches
  • Comfortable operating across both strategy and delivery, and excited by the idea of embedding meaningful people initiatives across the employee lifecycle

Additional Information

You'll be joining a high-performing, fast-paced team where your work drives meaningful impact in a leading tech company at the intersection of healthcare. We take pride in our driven and results-focused culture, where ambitious individuals can push the boundaries of innovation and contribute to better outcomes for Australians.

Other benefits include:

  • The freedom of a full-time, work-from-home role.
  • Access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and select regional cities.
  • Being part of one of the fastest-growing industries in Australia, improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients.
