Job description

Ursa Major is looking for a mid-level Project Manager to support our marketing & creative teams. This person will help bring key marketing initiatives to life by tracking project timelines, and facilitating and optimizing an efficient workflow.

This role will work closely with our creative teams and marketing channel leaders. To thrive in this role, you should have a thorough understanding of internal creative functions (design, copy, photo, and video) and marketing channels (social, email, website). You should be comfortable owning your workstream independently, with a high level of self-discipline and initiative, while still collaborating closely with a supportive and highly engaged team. You can untangle timelines in your sleep, turn ideas into action items, and manage people & resources to get any project across the finish line.

**This role is considered remote. We are headquartered in VT, with team members all over.
Reports to Editorial Director.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and track creative projects from ideation to execution, including marketing emails, website needs, campaigns, brand initiatives, product launches, photo/video production timelines (pre- through post-production), and miscellaneous creative requests.
  • Support the Brand Marketing team in monitoring and tracking against our master marketing calendar.
  • Translate all major marketing and PR initiatives into clear timelines and action items for creative teams, and ensure projects are tracking against deadlines.
  • Vet incoming creative briefs to ensure they are clear, complete, and actionable—translating marketing goals into the right deliverables and resourcing across copy, design, and production.
  • Track rounds of feedback and facilitate a smooth creative approval process.
  • Audit and organize all creative assets, ensuring easy access and long-term usability.
  • Standardize and improve the creative briefing process to optimize cross-functional efficiency and clarity.
  • Communicate a clear picture of project statuses to all stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Serve as the operational and logistical lead for vendor partnerships—including event vendors—ensuring timely asset delivery, aligned expectations, and efficient execution for launches, activations, and campaigns.

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a creative project management/operations role.
  • You’ve developed seamless systems for creative teams at other DTC companies.
  • You’re an expert in project management software (we use Airtable and Wrike).
  • You have an in-depth working knowledge of Copy, Design, and Photo/Video functions.
  • You’re a true organizational wizard who takes initiative at every level—you can put together a high-level calendar, and also track the nitty-gritty execution of each asset.
  • You’re a super confident communicator—you’re not afraid to speak up, take charge, and hold team members accountable to timelines.

What We Bring:

  • Co-workers and leadership who care about your success and wellbeing.
  • Small company feel with big growth ambitions.
  • Competitive compensation, plus equity.
  • Health, vision and dental benefits and paid parental leave.
  • Employee 401k with company match.
  • Fully remote culture.
  • Generous vacation time plus 2 “Epic Days” yearly (a chance to spontaneously take off and enjoy epic weather!).
  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years.
  • Paid volunteer time, and organized team volunteer events in VT.
  • Free Ursa Major products—of course!
