Job description

About the Role

We’re restructuring our tax team from siloed, CPA-heavy workflows to a more scalable, pod-based model. We’re hiring two experienced Tax Clerks—one focused on individual tax and the other on business tax. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of hands-on U.S. tax preparation experience who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You’ll be supporting licensed CPAs by handling tax prep, reconciliations, and documentation—freeing them to focus on review and strategy

Key Responsibilities

Individual Tax Clerk:

• Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040 and supporting schedules)

• Reconcile W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and investment summaries

• Summarize brokerage and capital gains activity

• Organize digital workpapers with clear references

• Assist with e-filing, extensions, and client documentation

Business Tax Clerk:

• Prepare partnership and corporate tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S)

• Generate and reconcile partner/shareholder K-1s

• Tie out accounting file balances to tax return inputs

• Prepare fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries

• Assemble complete workpaper packages for CPA review

Requirements

Requirements

• 3–5 years of U.S. tax preparation experience (individual or business)

• Solid understanding of U.S. tax forms and workflows
