Who are we looking for?

We are currently searching for a Senior Go Backend Engineer to join our VFG Consulting
vertical.
This role is perfect for someone with solid experience in Go, capable of delivering value from Day 1, and confident in navigating and adapting backend systems in critical environments.
You will be part of a small engineering team migrating backend logic and models between a Banking application and an Underwriting application, ensuring no disruption to existing business functionality.

Responsibilities

● Analyze and deeply understand existing Go codebases.
● Migrate backend logic, models, and services between systems with care and precision.
● Ask insightful questions to clarify requirements, edge cases, and integration details.
● Take ownership, show initiative, and proactively address blockers.
● Communicate effectively with teammates and stakeholders in English.
● Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented Go code.

Requirements

● +4 years of experience as a Go Backend Engineer.
● Solid production experience with Go (Golang) in backend applications.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Excellent English communication skills — able to discuss technical matters, ask precise
questions, and document effectively.
● Reliable, meticulous, and proactive work style.
● Previous experience in system migrations or refactoring projects is a strong plus.
